We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join the finance team at Hometown for the Clinical Research department. The Staff Accountant is responsible for the overall financial administration of the research department, including general accounting; bookkeeping, accounts payable/ accounts receivable management, treasury functions, and financial reporting in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. Staff Accountant ensures internal controls are adequate to safeguard facility assets and that accounting systems are sufficient to generate accurate and timely financial reports.
Position Details:
· Review and close A/P and A/R.
· Bank reconciliations – Should be able to do bank reconciliations in a fast-paced environment.
· Journal entries/general ledger expertise.
· Financial Statement Preparation including monthly close, cash flow analysis and financial projections.
· Budget preparation, variance analysis
· Work with external CPA firms financial review/tax preparation.
Skills, Abilities and Aptitudes Required:
· General Knowledge; understanding of GL accounts and how they relate to invoices etc.
· Good understanding of overall general accounting functions of multi-site organizations and how it relates to various aspects of AR, AP, PR, GL etc.
· High analytical and accounting skills
· High expertise in Quickbook and Excel
· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or related field required.
· 5 years in similar positions, preferably in a multi-facility and healthcare environment
