About this Position:

This position will coordinate the development of Telematics hardware and software technologies into our vehicles to enhance comfort, safety, and user experience towards creating a top-class infotainment platform.

At this career level, you oversee delivering defined engineering assignments with guidance, while expanding the breadth of your technical knowledge and starting to deepen your expertise in your specific technology.

Responsibilities include:

• Recognize and specify critical functional (hardware, software & communication) requirements for infotainment system components to match customer demands.
• Work with existing Honda suppliers to design and manage the component to maturation schedule requirements.
• Confirm actual hands-on performance that may include developing unique requirements on system components and vehicle testing to guarantee product acceptance.
• Support maturation testing to cover different configurations of components to ensure all variations work correctly.
• Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to draft engineering specifications for system components and the evaluation of their effectiveness.
• Effectively communicate the development schedule and report status of component functions to different company areas/departments.
• Analyze/interpret test results, predict performance/failure and provide required product/design data.
• Write clear and concise reports, presentations and/or technical documents to be reviewed by senior level colleagues.
• Research and influence the future path and trends of infotainment system architecture, features/functions, and efficient development methods.
• Propose, develop, and justify any new functions (hardware, software, HMI, etc.) to meet the market requirements

• Co-op Experience Preferred

Required Education:

• 4-yr degree of BSc in Electrical Engineering. 6 years of related experience may be substituted for required degree.
