Honeybee Robotics, a Blue Origin Company is Hiring a Program Manager Near Altadena, CA

Honeybee Robotics has been at the forefront of robotics for over 40 years, establishing ourselves as pioneers in developing novel exploration systems for the most extreme planetary environments. At our Southern California location, we look to "Touch Life" by supporting planetary science, including every NASA Mars rover since Spirit and Opportunity. We aim to "Mine the Sky" through the development of practical In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) solutions. We search for technically brilliant individuals in engineering, software, and support fields who take ownership of their work, enjoy collaborating in teams, and have a laser focus on the details that drive excellence.
Honeybee Robotics is looking for a Program Manager responsible for technical and non-technical management of multiple space technology projects that will act as the project interface to customers and organize customer-facing project reviews. They will also lead project planning, requirements scope and change management, and cost and schedule compliance.
Responsbilities
  • Develop, communicate and execute project plans, including project kickoffs; establish appropriate planning and controls details to meet project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
  • Lead smaller projects independently and larger projects together with systems engineers for teams consisting of design, electrical, software, project engineers, and technicians.
  • Lead team meetings, assign and record action items in agile project management tools and assure follow-through.
  • Manage technical and project-level risks, stay on top of scope changes and contractual modifications, and identify and communicate corrective actions.
  • Organize and lead customer milestone reviews such as PDRs and CDRs and assign action items, as required.
  • Compile and present project status, schedule, and budgetary statistics to customers or company management.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering, technology management, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years minimum of related experience in a business developing and manufacturing complex aerospace products or technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification.
  • Earned Value Management experience.
Compensation And Benefits

$114,000 - $181,000 a year
QualificationsWe offer a flexible salary range for this job posting that will be customized based on the qualifications of the chosen candidate. Our compensation strategy takes into account various factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market alignment. The position is available at multiple levels, and the corresponding salary ranges are as follows:
Program Manager II: $114,000 - $142,000
Program Manager III: $134,000 - $165,000
Program Manager IV: $147,000 - $181,000
