Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II for a contract position with a client in Plymouth, MN. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who has good experience with mechanical engineering, GD&T, Solidworks, and Minitab in the pharma/medical industry.

Pay range: $35-$40/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Qualifications:

Education and Experience, Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering degree preferred
• 2 years experience

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Has a basic understanding of best practices. Has a basic to intermediate understanding of the engineering discipline
• Intermediate design and technical background in the selection of engineering materials, plastic and metal components design, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance analysis (GD&T), critical to function (CTF), critical dimensions and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Ability to design test fixtures, design test methods, and analyze data.
• Ability to receive general project direction and solicit input from more experienced engineers.
• Requires the ability to independently make decisions that impact the attainment of project objectives.
• Solidworks experience preferred
• MiniTab and statistical experience preferred
• Medical device or experience in a regulated industry preferred
