As a Senior Field Service Technician at Honeywell , you will play acrucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automationsystems.

The main function of this position is to respond and resolve complexservice calls, providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywellcustomers for our Fire Alarm Systems .

Additional responsibilities related tothe technical delivery of small service jobs, time and work material, andpreventive maintenance may be assigned as well.

These customers will havevarious products installed that fall into the HVAC, automation controls, lifesafety, fire, and security systems category, as well as their associatedcomputer systems.

The goal is to ensure system uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Independently troubleshoot and repair complex issues for Fire Alarm / DetectionSystems
  • Program more than one system
  • Perform system backups and install appropriate updates and patches
  • Run one-off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on the needs of thecustomer
  • Program EBI's
  • Understand and apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, andnetworking to serve the needs of the customers (may need to possesscertifications)
  • Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractualobligations
  • Proper use of safety personal protection equipment
  • Security and other clearances as required by the customer

Requirements :

  • 2 years of hands-on experience working with Fire Alarm / Detection systems (Hardware & Software)
  • NICET II certification
  • US Citizen
  • High SchoolDiploma or equivalent
  • Experience with hands-on low voltage electrical systems or building automationsystems
  • Knowledge of completing preventative maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and conduct repairs
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area, with occasional overnight staysas needed
  • Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 5 years of experience
  • Technical Training
