Be responsible for providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs. You will use your expert knowledge of engineering discipline and standards, processes and tools to complete and ensure compliance of various projects. You are the point of contact for external customers and you may participate in development of new business opportunities and product lines

Position Summary-

Provides consultation, advice, andsupervision to other members of the Inline group. Develops new researchprojects to improve or expand the application of near-infrared (NIR) or otherspectroscopic analyses and multivariate process chemometrics for the inlinecontrol of refining and petrochemical processes. Works at all stage of theprogram, from concept development to data acquisition to online implementationand follow-up analysis. Works actively and closely with the internal pilotplants customers to optimize spectroscopic performance on their plants. Accountabilitiesinclude installing and maintaining online fiber optics, NIR spectrophotometersystems; acquiring NIR spectra of customer samples; using a variety of softwareto analyze the data by multivariate techniques; developing predictive modelsfor inline control; and evaluating and providing reports on the data acquired. Willalso be involved in developing exploratory research projects to evaluate innovativetechnologies or new software systems used in the inline area, includingmultivariate analysis programs, alternative analytical techniques, and newinline instrumentation (i.e., NMR, Raman, etc.).
