As an FAA Machinist Level 5 here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our machining processes run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards, while optimizing production schedules. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and customer requirements. Your expertise in machining and workflow management will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations to increase savings and better serve our customers. You will report directly to our Machining Manager and you will work out of our ¹ location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of skilled machinists, programmers, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and collaboration.
• Efficiently allocating and managing resources, including machinery, manpower, and materials, to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Implementing and maintaining rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all manufactured parts meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.
• Developing production schedules, setting priorities, and monitoring workflow to optimize machine shop productivity and meet customer demands.
• Overseeing machine maintenance and repair schedules to ensure that all equipment is operational, safe, and properly maintained.
• Monitoring and controlling operational expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring the shop remains within budget.
• Ensuring the machine shop complies with all safety regulations and best practices, fostering a safe work environment for all employees.
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
