ABOUT THE ROLE

An excellent career opportunity is currently available for an R&D Lab Technician II within Honeywell UOP’s R&D Materials Characterization group located in McCook, IL. This position provides a unique opportunity to analyze samples from across R&D, Pilot Plants, and commercial refineries around the world.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our research and development efforts, with a specific focus on gas chromatography, wet chemistry, and organic analysis testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform analytical testing on materials and process streams from R&D laboratory and pilot plants and manufacturing following internal procedures and industry guidelines.
• Responsible for setting up instruments, analyzing samples, conducting data quality checks and entering results into laboratory information system (LIMS).
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Communicate with customers on analysis progress and results.
• Participate in method development and equipment troubleshooting activities.
• Be able to work non-business hours on rotational schedule. 

The annual base salary range for this position is $53,500-$66,900. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
