About the Role:

You will provide leadership and oversight to the Health Safety Environment (HSE) functions, activities and performance, contributing to the development of a strong HSE culture. Building strong working relationships with the site leadership team and employees will be a crucial aspect of your role. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing sustainable health and safety programs by integrating impactful operational processes. Your role will also involve ensuring that the site stays updated on the latest practices in health and safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Within Year One:
• Serve as the dedicated Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Engineer within the Honeywell CCC SBU.
• Guide CCC employees through the transition to the Honeywell Safety Culture.
• Ensure compliance of CCC Des Moines Headquarters with legal and regulatory requirements, including documentation.
• Collaborate with peers at Honeywell to standardize new business integration.
• Manage all aspects of office and field HSE activities to support new business leaders.
• Ensure CCC compliance with end user/customer field service operation requirements for site management.
Within Year Two and Beyond:
• Ensure compliance with Honeywell corporate requirements, SBU/SBG programs, and local legislation; track changes, review/modify local procedures for compliance.
• Represent HPS business within the jurisdiction in the current SBU/SBG hierarchy and cooperate with regional HSE structures and internal customers.
• Establish relationships and processes with HPS business managers, Site leadership team, and Regional HSE leaders to influence employees to meet HSE goals and objectives.
• Work with the HSE team to identify actions required for HSE certification to ISO 45001, ISO 9001, etc.
• Ensure desired performance in the jurisdiction; follow playbook (HPS) activities; address and/or escalate deviations if necessary.
• Manage and maintain Field Service onsite HSE and Insurance system requirements.
• Facilitate a change to Honeywell culture toward a safe working environment by enhancing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of Honeywell employees.
• Advise management on HSE matters affecting all aspects in the location/country.
• Attend audits in Honeywell-managed facilities to ensure compliance with statutory and corporate requirements and adherence to approved risk management plans (including Fire testing regulations, waste management, Lift inspections per manufacturer's recommendations, etc.).
• 10% or less travel; international travel may be required.
