Honeywell UOP has an opening for a Sales Director for our Gas Technology portfolio in the Americas region. In this role, one will be accountable for supporting a client facing team transacting with UOP’s existing installed base of clients, as well as ‘new to UOP’ clients in the gas, NGL, LNG, and midstream markets. The Sales Director will support and lead the Team in all aspects of forecasting, prospecting, developing, negotiating, and contracting said interactions with clients. The Gas Sales Director will ensure suitable input for development of Technical Proposals, and will be responsible for developing, in conjunction with the business and the Sales Team, suitable commercial strategies and proposals. The Gas Sales Team will develop, manage, and negotiate all commercial agreements – licensing, engineering, guarantee, modular fabrication, adsorbent fills, other equipment, and service. 

Position responsibilities: 

  • Accountable for Americas region forecast of project demand (revamp of existing assets, as well as new unit installations) – maintaining forecast in Saleforce.com including scope, timing, probabilities, and Bookings value. 
  • Support Account Managers/Executives, when project opportunities are identified, to develop all projects for revamping existing natural gas, NGL, and LNG assets, or the pursuit of new unit builds. Once project opportunity is identified by the
  • Team, coach/support pursuits through the entire sales cycle: clarify bid, develop sales strategy, enroll and align sales support, submit proposals, and close deals.
  • Provide input for the development of customer account plans jointly with Account Managers/Executives – ensure
  • Honeywell Process Solutions, and other Honeywell business content, is considered as scope of any given client engagement. Participate in client engagement as necessary to support furtherance of project development.
  • Develop a robust ‘management operating system’ including 1:1 Cadence meetings with the team, and report out in
  • Forecast meetings aggregate progress. Develop and coach Team to improve acumen, and develop future leaders.
  • Accountable for Team’s client interaction Sales Metrics, including call logs, in person visits, lead follow-up timing, strategy documentation in ‘blue sheets’, and win-loss reports. 
  • Support Marketing and Technology functions by providing market intelligence and win/loss reports in a timely fashion. 
  • As appropriate, work with the business and sales support to develop suitable sales collateral to be used in proposals and customer clarification meetings.
