You'll be Responsible for:
- Acting as the primary contact for our truck drivers. You'll check them in and out and respond promptly to any questions and support they may need.
- Maintaining driver, load, and service information in our transportation management system.
- Preparing daily dispatch schedule and adjust delivery and backhaul assignments as needed.
- In our office environment, you'll need to be able to sit on an almost continual basis and stand, walk, bend, or squat on an occasional basis.
- To be successful as a dispatcher, you'll need to have the ability to read conventional and electronic mapping and be proficient in computer usage.
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to speak, read, and understand English
- Transportation Management System experience is preferred
