Hope Gospel Mission’s (Eau Claire, WI) program staff works to create an environment that is consistent with faith and healing. Requirements and preferences for this position:

• Mature Christian in agreement with Hope Gospel Mission’s faith statement
• Previous leadership experience
• Previous ministry leadership experience
• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Ability to navigate crisis in a calm and professional manner
• Computer literate
• Current driver’s license and ability to meet approval requirements of HGM’s insurance company for driving mission vehicles
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred (Master in Divinity not applicable)

Summary of responsibilities:

• Create and maintain an intentional, faith-based, healthy, healing community
• Assess each resident’s spiritual status and document position on HGM modified Engel scale
• Work with each resident to develop a written plan to address each resident’s spiritual needs and goals, as well as achieve the expected outcomes for their spiritual dimension
• Meet with each resident regularly to help them with their current needs, maintain accountability, as well as maintain forward movement on the written plan
• Connect each resident with a healthy church that can provide transportation and a mentor
• Maintain thorough documentation and communication as necessary to create a fluent experience for each resident between different areas of their program
• Quickly intervene with residents who show danger signs, and help them navigate through their circumstances safely
• Provide communication and training for mentor network, including frequent communication to make sure each resident is connecting and moving forward and connecting within their church
• Lead small groups, class curriculums, or resident meetings as assigned
• Intake involvement, including interviews, assessments and reviews
• Implementation of chaplaincy policies and procedures and oversight of chaplaincy volunteers
