Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join our mental health facility. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to patients with psychiatric disorders, offering support and treatment to improve their mental well-being.
Duties:
- Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by psychiatrists
- Monitor patients' mental health status and report any changes or concerns
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
Requirements:
- Valid RN license with psychiatric specialty certification
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and practices
- Experience in administering medications for mental health conditions
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with various psychiatric disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems like eClinicalWorks
- Understanding of ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and occupational health standards
- Experience with procedures like suturing, tube feeding, and sonography is a plus
