The Mulberry Bush Early Learning Program is seeking to hire a competent and kind individual who would work 1:1 with a child with special needs in our Toddler/Early Preschool classroom for a 2 year old with special health needs.

The individual would be hired in this position to work within the classroom to directly nurture, supervise and facilitate inclusion, while also working as a part of the larger classroom team.

Our ratios are 1:3 within our Toddler classroom, in addition to this position, so there is ample support provided to this role.

This role is for 20 hours per week, but should you be looking for full time we are willing to offer a full time position as substitute/break coverage for afternoons. 8am-12pm if part time, 8am - 4pm if full time and willing to sub (IF Full Time, then benefits are available.)

Direct Supervision of the child.

Create opportunities for inclusion.

Follow directions from the classroom Lead Teacher

Honor confidentiality.

Attend team meetings and trainings on how to best work with and for the child.

Collaborate with the classroom and special education teaching teams.

Must be a graduate of High School, or hold an equivalent GED.

Must have some experience working with young children or children with special needs.

Experience working with young children and/or children with special needs.

A positive attitude, willingness to work as part of a collaborative team, and strong communication skills.
