Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum that aligns with state and national standards for grades 3-5.2. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and empowered to participate in physical activity and develop their physical skills and abilities.4. Teach a variety of physical activities, games, and sports, adapting instruction to accommodate the diverse needs and interests of students.5. Incorporate age-appropriate fitness and wellness concepts into physical education lessons, including the importance of regular exercise, proper nutrition, and healthy lifestyle habits.6. Demonstrate and model proper techniques and safety guidelines for physical activities and equipment use, ensuring the well-being and safety of all students.7. Organize and supervise structured physical education classes, ensuring that all students are actively engaged and participating to the best of their abilities.8. Assess student progress and growth in physical fitness and motor skills using a variety of assessment methods, including performance-based assessments, skill demonstrations, and fitness tests.9. Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them set and achieve personal fitness goals and develop a positive self-image.10. Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to integrate physical education into interdisciplinary units and promote cross-curricular learning experiences.11. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about students' progress in physical education and provide resources and strategies for promoting physical activity and wellness at home.12. Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and resources in physical education through professional development opportunities and ongoing professional learning communities.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Health Education, or a related field 2. Valid teaching license/certification in Physical Education (Ohio certification preferred).3. Previous experience teaching physical education to elementary school students, preferably in a similar setting.4. Strong knowledge of child development, physical fitness principles, and age-appropriate teaching strategies.5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.6.
