As a Business and Health Quality Analyst , you will...
  • Evaluate and assess Value Network Partner needs related to data collection, data analytics and quality improvement needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide effective communications and relationship management for Value Network's 22 behavioral health Partners regarding their data analytics and clinical/quality improvement needs
  • Provide education, support and best practice support on Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) quality measures to Value Network's 22 behavioral health Partners to help them improve their performance on various areas of healthcare performance.
  • Consult, evaluate, and assess information from Partner needs assessments to develop strategy and deployment efforts to assist with identified needs.
  • Establish strategy for creating a data analytics support model for Partners with a fee schedule or packages that VN Partner agencies could purchase.
  • Provide detailed analysis/interpretation of healthcare data.
  • Provide education and advisement to Partners on contract measures.
  • Act as advisor between clinical transformation and data analytics teams.
  • Develop technical and functional requirements based on report requests and business needs.
  • Participate in planning committees and workgroups for projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Routinely monitor reports for ongoing quality assurance and make corrections or adjustments as needed.
  • Routinely audit data access and report usage.
  • Appropriately manages project expectations, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding information being processed, stored, or accessed on the network.

What makes you a great candidate?
We can't wait to learn more about you! Here are a few specifics of what you'll need for the job:
  • BS Degree in Business Analytics, Public Health, Mathematics, CIS, MIS or related field required.
  • 1 Years' experience in writing queries and report creation.
  • 1-2 years of progressively increasing healthcare information technology experience, with a focus on healthcare data management, quality improvement efforts, project management, and analysis, rapid cycle change improvement, statistics, research, or a related field preferred
  • Licensures/Certificates: Professional IT or Analytic Certifications are preferred.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to assess, analyze and act on Partner needs.
  • Fluent in data analytics tools and strategies.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS measures.
  • Knowledge of writing queries using T-SQL.
  • Knowledge of reporting and visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, etc.).
  • Knowledge of database systems (Microsoft SQL, SQL Azure Databases, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of procuring and consuming data from various sources.
  • Ability to share and distribute reports and dashboards to consumers.
  • Experience with electronic health records is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of applied statistical methods.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines.
  • Communicate appropriately with all levels of management.
Location:
This position is hybrid. It will be split between remote and in-person at 55 Dodge Road in Getzville, NY as required.
Hours:
This is a full-time position for 40 hours a week. Flexible schedule to be set with supervisor between 8am-5pm Monday-Fridays; with the ability to assist with project-based activities during early mornings or evenings on occasion.
Compensation
Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $75,000 - $82,000 per year. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include:
  • Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting
  • Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
  • Handling light duties, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds
