One must have the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, possess good interpersonal and organizational skills. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; handle sensitive face-to-face contacts and maintain a friendly atmosphere. Must have a valid driver's license. Required to transport individuals for activities, etc., in a 12-passenger van with a wheelchair lift.Must be at least 18 years of age. Associates degree is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Transmits to staff policies, standards, schedules and memos, and assures that there is a clear understanding by all staff.
• Maintains established monitoring and reporting systems in order to record accurate data on the quality and frequency of services delivered to the individuals.
• Coordinates delivery of services as outlined in individual plans.
• Coordinates development and implementation of IP programs
• Confers with department heads, staff and assists in problem solving.
• Assures and coordinates the individuals' hygiene and comfort in the facility (clothing, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, etc.).
• Oversees that fire, weather and safety drills are completed as required.
• Coordinates and follows through on request from team members and department heads.
• Completes staffing and recreation schedules weekly by Wednesday.
• Maintains open communication among all co-workers.
• Supervises, instructs, assists and participates in evaluation of the Active Treatment Center Assistants.
• Participates in the development and implementation of IP's.
• Investigates and reports suspected resident abuse or neglect immediately.
• Keeps Executive Director apprised of all current shift operations, changes, problems or requests.
• Responsible for supervising the upkeep and cleanliness of the individuals' areas.
• Organizes and directs staff resources to accomplish assigned objectives.
• At all times creates and maintains a physical environment which is supportive of a normalizing approach to individual development.
• Attends all regular staff and management team meetings.
• Develops a monthly calendar of in-house activities and community trips and weekly recreation schedules.
• Makes arrangements for recreation activities, provides directions to activities, etc.
• Responsible for following dietary orders for each individual.
• Provides direct delivery of services.
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, squat and lift adults with assistance.
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
• Responsible for checking documentation at least weekly.
• Accepts and replaces call-offs in a timely manner.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Other related duties.
