City Experiences is seeking a Waterbus Captain for our operation in Marina del Rey

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The Seasonal Waterbus Captain transports passengers around 8 separate docks at the Marina. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Candidates must have 1 year of recent experience as a Captain. Our employees have public contact, therefore we are looking for candidates who take pride in their appearance, have superb customer service, and communication skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operates company vessels legally and safely
  • Supervisor onboard crew
  • Enforces crew and passenger safety
  • Administrative duties including, computer work, and some cash handling
  • Filling out shipboard logs, and reports
  • Conduct crew training, drills, and exercises
  • Participates in USCG inspections
  • Narration / make announcements over PA system
  • Verifies the vessels have been properly secured after sailing
  • Additional job duties assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • USCG 25 ton License or higher
  • High School or equivalence
  • USCG Master Document V
  • Valid Medical Certificate
  • TWIC card
  • FCC Radio Station License.
