The Engineering assistant will help design and develop products from concept to manufacturing release. Requires interaction with various internal departments and external suppliers to accomplish goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Assists in mechanical or electrical development and verification.

· Creates Engineering Change Notices for design changes, while maintaining archives and detailed revision histories for all designs.

· Interfaces with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.

· Reads and interprets technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

· Confers with system engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

· Assists in project/development objectives.

· Reports to Engineering Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in applicable Engineering/Technology preferred although applicable experience may also be evaluated for the role

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent problem solving and time management skills

· Good design aptitude and knowledge

· Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software

· Self-motivated, highly organized and a team worker

· Flexibility in developing new skills/responsibilities as requirements evolve over time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
