General DescriptionResponsible for the general cleaning, refuse collection of all buildings as well as other tasks and duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Property Manager. Building Porters/Janitorial and Grounds Personnel are under the direct supervision of the Site Manager and under the general supervision of the Service Manager.

General DescriptionResponsible for the general cleaning, refuse collection of all buildings as well as other tasks and duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Property Manager. Building Porters/Janitorial and Grounds Personnel are under the direct supervision of the Site Manager and under the general supervision of the Service Manager.
Job Functions
- Police grounds and assigned areas and keep them free of trash and debris.
- Daily cleaning of the office, entries, elevator lobbies, mailrooms, public hallways, laundry rooms, public bathrooms, trash chute rooms, and stairwells (if applicable).
- Daily cleaning of the elevator and tracks (if applicable).
- Replacing light bulbs in exit signs, hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms and trash chute rooms.
- Clean and maintain in a safe manner trash compactors, trash cans, recycling and collection areas.
- Cleaning walls, windows, fire extinguisher cases, etc.
- Supply areas organized and clean. Assist in inventory and stocking as directed. Secure equipment and supplies. Do not leave equipment unattended or use in an appropriate manner.
- Keep exercise equipment cleaned and sanitized (if applicable).
- Touch up cleaning and apartment cleaning performed as directed.
- Seasonal watering and maintenance of landscape as directed.
- Observe all safety rules while performing job duties. Report hazardous conditions or structural or equipment concerns to Supervisor or Site Manager.
- Leaf and snow removal. Snow removal schedule during winter months -- shovel sidewalks around building, sand and salt walkways as recommended by the Site Manager or Property Manager.
- Painting of fire lanes, reserved spaces, handicapped spaces and speed bumps as assigned (if applicable).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
