Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinates project management activities with the Engineering, Sales, Purchasing and Manufacturing functions to ensure that production requirements are achievable, and facilitate the successful completion of quality approval, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a liaison between Estimating, Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to ensure BOM requirements are delivered in a timely manner prior to assembly start dates.
- Serves as the customer’s point of contact through the planning and production process.
- Provides senior management with monthly revenue data while monitoring project progress in terms of times, costs, and quality.
- Monitors project progress and manages through any issues that may arise.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
- Creates and distributes Gantt Charts per customer requests.
- In charge of setting final ship dates for assembly jobs based on maintaining an assembly schedule and the current departmental resource availability.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field; may consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge and experience in power transmissions and manufacturing processes desirable.
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
- Demonstrated experience with project management tools (i.e., ERP).
- Flexible enough to cope with changing priorities and workloads and demanding schedules as well as to be willing to work in both a plant and office environment.
- Able to travel to customer/user sites.
- Able to read and understand blueprints.
- Able to perform the essential functions and requirements of the job with or without accommodation.
