Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours per week 11:30am-10:00pm Monday - Friday every other weekend. *Weekend option available Saturday and Sunday with 2 additional days 10:00am-8:30pm.

The Admissions Nurse is responsible for responding to and visiting with patients who have been referred for admission to Hospice. The Admissions Nurse informs the patients, caregivers, and family members of the hospice services available with the organization and assesses patient for admission to services. In addition, the Admissions Nurse is responsible for visiting current Hospice of the Comforter patients who have been admitted to the hospital and communicates patient status with the respective interdisciplinary team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Associates Degree.
· Minimum of 3 years Registered Nurse experience in home health and/or acute care nursing experience; including 1-year experience in the hospital
· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Administrator.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
· A clear/active Florida Registered Nurse license.
· Basic Life Support Certification.
· Maintain a current, valid Florida Driver's License in good standing with a safe driving record and a reliable vehicle.
· Maintain valid personal automobile insurance.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
· Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing certification.
