Store Associate 

Position Summary

Havasu Riviera Marina is seeking seasonal Store Associates. This position is responsible for providing a high level of professionalism and customer service for Marina day users, Slip Holders, and Riviera Annual Pass holders at the Marina Store. This position reports directly to the Marina Manager.

General Duties

• Provide genuine and warm customer interactions and experience. 
• Effectively ring up merchandise and fuel and be able to process payments accurately.
• Make an effort to learn the names and faces of reoccurring guests and slips owners.
• Responsible for all accounting relative to the opening and closing of a cash drawer assigned daily
• Maintain the Marina Store in a manner that exhibits organization and cleanliness
• Assist and coordinate services with other marina staff members such as security, office/accounting, and Marina management to ensure seamless and efficient service
• Work well under pressure, efficiently moving guests through the line. 
• You must be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments with frequent exposure to extreme heat, wind, and cold 
• POS experience is a plus but not necessary.

Code of Conduct Requirements

• Notify management of guest complaints at the time they occur. Practice effective service recovery by rectifying any complaints as soon as possible
• Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operation, it may be necessary that each Employee Partner perform a multitude of different functions therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when occasions arise
• Adhere to all company, marina, and store written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc.
• Communicate effectively with proper grammar
• Wear a clean and neat uniform daily that follows Havasu Riviera Marina Standards
• Maintain the reputation of the marina and common areas as a clean and welcoming facility
• Must be comfortable using both Microsoft Office applications, basic office equipment, and web-based applications via computer, tablet, and phone as needed
• Ability to interact positively with supervisors, management, co-workers, guests, owners, and public with skills to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to produce work in a timely manner which is accurate, complete and of high quality

Job Type: Seasonal

• Starting wage is $15 per hour based on experience, with annual review for increases based on performance
• Sick pay as required by Arizona State Law

Schedule

• Federal and state working hours, required sick pay allowance, and vacation allowances will be respected, as a minimum.
• To be mutually agreed, but in line with recreational boating and hospitality employment practices, will include:
• Shift work
• Weekend working
• Seasonal working
• Unsociable hours
• Paid/unpaid overtime

Education & Experience

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, is required
• Customer service experience in hospitality, marina, or equivalent service-based industry
• Proven track record of performing at the highest level of ethical work standards
