Company: Compassus Position Summary The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The LMS Administrator is the subject matter expert for the Learning Management System functionality across the enterprise. S/he is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the LMS and manages the overall course structure and programs. Additionally, s/he assigns training to team members as required. Position Specific Responsibilities Manages the day-to-day operations of the Learning Management System (LMS), including the definition and application of policies and best practices, training LMS users according to their specific access levels, creating and publishing learning content as assigned, contributing to ongoing system improvements, coordinating resolution of system issues, generating reports, and assisting learners with troubleshooting issues in accessing and leveraging learning resource. Assigns relevant instructor-led training (ILT), online training (OLT) and/or materials, evaluations, and surveys to LMS users per business requirements. Creates and manages the overall course structure and sets up course programs based on specifications from the Learning and Development team. Contributes to creating, documenting, and training LMS system standards, policies, and procedures; maintains data integrity rules and processes. Identifies and communicates opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, challenges, and suggested enhancements. Supports all LMS users and superusers, including fundamental technical issues affecting learners and courses. Assists learning operations by building instructor-led training (ILT), surveys, assessments, competencies, materials, and compliance reporting. Aids with the coordination of specific special projects and events. Partners with LMS provider to remain current on system specifications and updates. Provides end-user support, including application support, e-learning, training support requests, and other areas as requested. Partners with Learning and Development teams to analyze performance and/or compliance issues, recommend potential solutions, and develop associated learning strategies. Maintains content within the LMS by creating and uploading modules and courses, granting access and role-based user permissions, updating course content, and running reports. Develops and maintains LMS visual workflows for tracking tests/samples. Coordinates with other LMS support staff with testing content, enhancements, and general system functionality. Oversees aspects of content governance and executes audit procedures as defined by the LMS Governance. Tracks and reports training activities and facilitator certifications to ensure compliance with governance and audit requirements. Publishes and archives online or blended learning solutions, assigns training curricula, and adds and deletes resources. Works with the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team to manage the course asset library. Prepares, delivers, and manages reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and future issues related to LMS data. Creates and maintains standardized documentation for LMS operational processes and ensures adherence to the LMS governance model. Acts as the single point of accountability for all user challenges, escalations, inquiries, and feedback. Provides guidance on upgrades and future functionality regarding the LMS system and supporting technologies. Collaborates with learners and learning professionals to create better solutions for an exceptional learning experience. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in MIS, BIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of Learning Management System administration, reporting and analytics, or similar experience required. Experience in creating, running, and distributing standard and sophisticated custom reports preferred. Skills Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications. Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy. Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations Association for Talent Development (ATD) certification preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
