Assists surgical team members in providing intraoperative care to the perioperative patient by preparing and monitoring equipment, passing instruments, maintaining the sterile field, assisting with patient transfer/positioning and performing a variety of surgical skills and procedures.
Full-Time, Days, 40 Hours/Week
6:45 AM-3:15 PM, 5 - 8 Hour Shifts with call (1 night per week and 1 Sat or Sun per 4 weeks max)

QualificationsEducation
Associates degree in surgical technology is preferred.
Graduate from a recognized surgical technology program or has successfully completed military training in surgical technology is required.
Military documentation to establish education includes a DD214 demonstrating graduation from a military training program.
Experience
1 year surgery experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) issued by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification is required or proof of current certification by one of the following certifying bodies: National Surgical Assistant Association for the certification of surgical assistants; Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist as a certified first assistant or American Board of Surgical Assistants in Illinois. Certified surgical technology through an approved Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) for Wisconsin. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
