Job Description Summary Responsible for setting up and maintaining supply of buffet items, taking food and beverage orders from guests, and following all rules and regulations regarding food and alcohol service. Demonstrates a knowledge of menu or buffet items and specials. Keeps work area clean and sufficiently stocked. Secures payment for food and beverage orders in premium spaces. Job Description ASSOCIATE PERKS Pay starting at $20.00 per hour. Eligible for performance increases each Major League Soccer season you return. 20% retail discount on merchandise. Free meal provided on matchdays. End of season Experience Celebration party at Children’s Mercy Park. Sporting KC Merchandise giveaways at each home match. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Delegate and ensure designated area runs smoothly. Develop and sustain a professional relationship with NOPs, bartenders, and subcontractors. Menu and Product Knowledge. Assign and check to make sure all game day tasks are followed through by associates. Utilize Point of Sale System. Analyze and resolve issues that occur, foresee and be proactive in solving. Performs beginning and ending inventory of designated stand. Implement steps of service. Assist management in following proper food & beverage service, sanitation, product and food quality are followed by associates. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Ensure all Sporting KC policies and procedures are followed. Maintain a clean and polished uniform, as well as the associates in said stand. Communicate with management regarding any issues and/or events. Set up designated stand. before match day. Assist with shutting down designated stand at the end of the season. Works with staff and management to reduce waste and boost sales. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Be able to interact with guests and fellow associates in a friendly, professional manner. Capable of working in a high-volume environment with calm, collected attitude. Proficient in multi-tasking while maintaining safe food and beverage handling. Ability to delegate. Strong teamwork attitude. Must be able to evaluate and make decisions without immediate supervision. Presents a cooperative work attitude and cheerfully accepts job responsibilities. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum 1-year supervisor experience. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be willing to work hours that vary, according to the event schedule. Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays. PHYSICAL ABILITIES The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made. Long periods of standing, walking and bending. Frequent stooping, lifting, and reaching throughout shift. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
