Role Description

This is full-time role for a Human Resources Benefits Coordinator located in Traverse City, MI. The Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for administering employee benefits, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, managing FMLA leave requests, and overseeing COBRA administration. This is an on-site role.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of U.S. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations and compliance
  • Experience in benefits administration, including enrollment, eligibility, and plan management
  • Understanding of Human Resources (HR) practices and policies
  • Knowledge of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off
  • Familiarity with COBRA regulations and administration
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field would be preferred.
  • Certification in HR or benefits administration is a plus
