Part Time Banquet Bartenders
The Hotel Colorado is looking for outgoing personalities 21 or older to work as Part Time Banquet Bartenders. Some previous bartending experience is necessary. Your pay rate at this position will be $14.42/hr. plus a share of the service charge. You would be part of a pool of people who are emailed a list of upcoming banquet and meeting events. It is a fabulous second job opportunity or a fun money position. You choose which events you work! Hotel Colorado has been delighting guests with its legendary hospitality since 1893. The first phase of a $10 million restoration of the Hotel Colorado was completed in August 2019 with improvements to and discoveries in six restored meeting and banquet rooms. Original brick fireplaces were uncovered in four of the rooms-Roosevelt, Garden, Taft and Devereux-during the restoration. Hotel Colorado recently completed the second phase of renovations with comprehensive floor-to-ceiling remodels in all standard guest rooms. Fireplaces and original brick walls were also discovered in some of these rooms. We are a full-service hotel in Glenwood Springs; offering breakfast, lunch and dinner service, bar service, on-site catering, audio visual services, and hosting groups ranging from 5 to 300 people. What would you do as a Banquet Bartender? You would setup and breakdown the bar for the event. You would make basic and some specialty cocktails. You would need to process credit card payments and would also have a bank for cash transactions.
What qualifications do you need for this job? You need some previous bartending experience. You also need to be aware of the guests and know the signs to look for to make sure no one is overserved. You need to be friendly and outgoing.
