As a Learning Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting our Director of Training and Quality in creating, facilitating, and tracking team member training ranging from compliance to service excellence and leadership development of both hourly and salaried team members. The Learning Coordinator is called upon to assist in creating bench strength in our pursuit of delivering outstanding legendary customer service always!

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and update engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, job aids, and other resources, utilizing best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and Director of Training to identify training needs, define learning objectives, and design curriculum for various functional areas and levels within the organization.
  • Assist in delivery of training sessions in both traditional classroom settings and virtual environments, ensuring content is delivered effectively and engagingly, and that learning outcomes are achieved.
  • Assist in managing the organization's LMS, including course creation, enrollment, tracking, and reporting, to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of training programs. This will be across both Reach360 and Marriott DLZ platforms.
  • Conduct post-training evaluations to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement. Continuously monitor and update training materials and delivery methods to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including department managers and executives, to understand their training needs and priorities, and to gain buy-in and support for learning initiatives.
  • Ensure all Team Members have access to MGS and are utilizing their EIDs to maintain compliance on Marriott’s DLZ as well as maintain a high-quality standard in all training materials and delivery methods.

MUST HAVES:

  • Passion for creating amazing experience for our clients and guests
  • Strong knowledge of learning styles
  • Creative thinking and strategic skills
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities; passion for collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience as a trainer
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors.
