Hotel Royal Oak is Hiring a Boutique Hotel Front Desk Receptionist Near Royal, MI

Hotel Royal Oak is currently seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive impression of our boutique hotel.
Hotel Royal Oak is located in downtown Royal Oak and offers a unique and vibrant experience for our guests. Our modern rooms, resort-like atmosphere, and proximity to a variety of dining, entertainment, and shopping options make us a popular choice for both business and leisure travelers. We are committed to providing exceptional service and ensuring that each guest has a memorable stay.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Check guests in and out of the hotel, ensuring accuracy of information and resolving any issues or concerns promptly
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and other communications promptly and courteously
  • Provide information to guests about hotel amenities, local attractions, and directions
  • Create and maintain guest reservations accurately and efficiently
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with a positive and professional attitude
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Positive and friendly attitude with a passion for providing excellent service
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of local attractions and amenities is a plus

This position is unique and we will shortly be adding liquor service to it so that guests will receive cocktails when they check-in and will be entertained in the lobby by you and other guests. As part of the social experience, qualified candidates need to be extroverted and social, which makes the job way more entertaining than the average hotel.
