We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This is a vital role within our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining financial stability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Process incoming payments and apply them to customer accounts
- Prepare and send out invoices to customers
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up accordingly
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing disputes or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with customers regarding their accounts
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Proven experience working in an accounts receivable role or similar position
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Sage) and MS Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to negotiate payment terms with customers
- Familiarity with governmental accounting regulations is a plus
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for interacting with customers
- Ability to analyze accounts and identify discrepancies or issues
- Experience in medical collections or corporate accounting is a plus
