Hotwire Communications is Hiring a Sr Director ISP Engineering Near Fort Lauderdale, FL

Duties / Responsibilities:

  1. Drive end to end responsibility for requirements gathering, design, testing, operationalization, launch and scale of all video network, systems, components, and services.
  2. Accountable for headend and data build out, management and operations.
  3. Support Customer Service and Network Operation Center with resolving and preventing escalated outages.
  4. Perform leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  5. Manage all department reporting, staffing and analytics.
  6. Develop and implement innovative solutions.
  7. Oversee hands-on troubleshooting for critical issues escalated to the engineering level.
  8. Collaborate with leadership team to prioritize tasks and ensure timely and quality executions.
  9. Provide weekly and ad-hoc reports for ongoing activities and escalations.
  10. Define, establish and maintain KPIs for video service and oversee execution of improvement plans.
  11. Manage the video acquisition team.
  12. Manage, review and approve the introduction of new products, features, and patches to the production environment, including project plan, vendor management, integration and testing in development and pre-production environments, and deployment into the production environment.
  13. Optimize the handling of vendor management and roadmap, feature requests, RFI, RFP,
  14. RFQ, acceptance testing and certification, deployment, spares, troubleshooting, support, and maintenance.
  15. Oversee the process of introducing proactive monitoring and automation capabilities.
  16. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in engineering or related field required.
  • 10 years of professional experience in technical leadership position within a Video Engineering team, preferably at a service provider.
  • Results-oriented—ability to deliver results and strive to consistently achieve excellence in all tasks and goals.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, demonstrated skill in requirements gathering, resource organization, and schedule development.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills (in English) to interact with vendors, team members, senior management, and external business partners.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Industry-related experience preferred.
