Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Manager to join our team. As a Fitness Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fitness facility, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for our members. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for fitness. The ideal candidate will have a background in fitness sales, training development, and leadership skills to ensure the smooth functioning of the studio.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to members, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed promptly
- Develop and implement effective training programs for fitness staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality service
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Create and maintain a welcoming and clean environment for members
- Manage inventory control, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and stocked
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies to increase membership sales
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in fitness management
Experience:
- Previous experience in a leadership role in the fitness industry
- Strong knowledge of fitness equipment, techniques, and safety protocols
- Proven track record in training development and implementation
- Experience in retail sales or retail management is preferred
- Proficient in cash handling procedures
- Ability to recruit, train, and motivate staff effectively
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
- Familiarity with retail math and sales management principles
