House of Paws Veterinary Clinic is Hiring a Veterinary Technician (RVT) Near Visalia, CA

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RVT to join our team! As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly growing, modern, dynamic and fast-paced environment, assisting with various veterinary procedures and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples
- Take x-rays
- Prepare animals for surgery, including prepping surgical sites and monitoring anesthesia
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery
- Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, medication administration, and post-treatment instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the system
- Clean and maintain equipment, instruments, and treatment areas

Qualifications:
- Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology or related field preferred
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and behavior
- Proficiency in animal handling, restraint techniques, and administering medications
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis
- Experience with radiology equipment and techniques
- Knowledge of pet grooming techniques is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners effectively
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with veterinarians and other staff members
