Will complete work assigned to ensure an easily accessible streamlined and efficient scheduling process for physician’s patients and all referring entities while assuring efficient and high quality process for all departments. This position will have input on employee evaluations. Record and generate variety of information pertaining to the department. This is a high performance level position that requires a certain degree of knowledge of complex rules and corresponding ability to apply these rules. Must proactively develop relationships, identify opportunities to add value, and engage team members. Lead is responsible for offering training/preceptor to the Central Scheduling staff. Lead will provide regular updates to the Supervisor in regard to Central Scheduling concerns. Three main areas of work assignments are incorporated in this position- initial patient contact for scheduling procedures, pre-authorization/certification and follow up patient contact for verifications and reminders. Competencies in all three areas are expected. But, work assignment may be assigned to one particular area of focus. Work assignments will consist of but not limited to the following duties:
High School graduate or GED equivalent. Three (3) years of hospital clerical experience. Customer service telephone experience.
Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
