This is a full-time role as an Elementary School Nurse at Houston Independent School District (HISD) in Houston, TX. As an Elementary School Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to students in an elementary school setting. Your main responsibilities will include assessing student health needs, developing care plans, administering medications, providing first aid, and collaborating with the school staff and parents to promote a healthy school environment. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and medical professionals. Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Experience working as a nurse in a pediatric or school setting
• Knowledge of common childhood illnesses, injuries, and developmental issues
• Ability to assess and address the health needs of students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems
