About this role and the person we're looking for The Metadata Librarian is someone who has experience with born digital collectables and can tag metadata. This role creates and organizes several different systems. This person is interested in information architecture and organization. Duties and Responsibilities
Manage all HTM content
Familiar with category systems
Familiar with information succession and records management
Training other staff in the use of information resources; developing, preparing and, conducting presentations/orientations giving information and training on relevant resources.
Required Skills and Abilities
Your life revolves around being data management and organization (ok maybe not your life but you definitely have a good amount of experience)
You have been successful in previous librarian or data intensive roles
You know how to handle change and never let them see you sweat when you have to pivot quickly
You know how to pay attention to the details on every task
You love problem solving- the harder the problem the better!
You like people and enjoy building professional relationships with others
Education and Experience
Understanding of bibliographic records, ability to search and find records in various professional databases, ability to accurately interpret and edit existing records
3 years experience as a Librarian or data intensive roles
3 years experience in information succession and records management
3 years experience in Metadata
3 years experience of born digital collectables
Masters in Information Science
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel experience
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding time management skills are a MUST
Travel
This is a remote role, no travel required.
