Howard Hanna Real Estate Services is Hiring an Accounting Coordinator Near Ann Arbor, MI

Howard Hanna seeks an Accounting Coordinator to join our accounting team. This is a full-time position that offers a strong benefit package, competitive vacation and PTO, and a great company culture!

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review and code vendor payables, check requests and expense reimbursement requests.
  • Enter payables into the AP system per procedures established for department.
  • Prepare checks for review & signature to ensure timely payment.
  • Research vendor inquiries and bring to attention of supervisor if unable to resolve.
  • Maintain supporting schedules as requested.
  • Assist in year end accounting closing process.
  • Assist in review of General Ledger Accounts.
  • Assist in analysis of General Ledger Expense Accounts.
  • Fluctuation analysis on financial statements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

  • Understanding of accounting principles and general procedures.
  • Associates or BS in Accounting (preferred but not required).
  • Intermediate Excel skills – Spreadsheet creation; linked workbooks; report format.
  • Beginning level Word, Outlook and email experience necessary.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization and time management skills.
