Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to oversee our service department. The Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the service department, providing excellent customer service, and managing a team of technicians. We sell and service mowers, atv/utvs, trailers, and tractors. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance and support
- Schedule and assign work orders to technicians, ensuring timely completion
- Monitor technician performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Service Writing and communication with customers
- Repairing / diagnosing machines as needed (15-40% of the work day)
- Ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns and resolving issues
- Maintain accurate records of service orders, invoices, and customer information
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering parts and supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in automotive service
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Service Manager or similar role in the this industry
- Strong knowledge of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using computer software for service writing and inventory management
- Upselling skills to recommend additional services or products to customers
- Familiarity with mowers, atv/utvs, trailers, and tractors.
