ResponsibilitiesHowmet Dover Casting is a world-class supplier of complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine industries. Howmet Dover Alloy is a world-class supplier of vacuum and air-melted nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys to aerospace, gas turbine, medical and other high-technology industrial markets.
Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Electrician B to join our Howmet Alloy located in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this 2nd shift position are Monday to Friday 2PM-10:30PMStarting Hourly Rate: $31.43 Rate After 12 Months: $33.79
Position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift.
$2500 Sign on Bonus payable after 90 days of employment (Sign on Bonus for external candidates only)

Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet’s EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
- Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Report all job related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook).
- Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Attend all EH&S training.
- Install electrical equipment including conduit, controls and all necessary wiring as directed;
- Proficient in P.M. of most electrical equipment in the plant.
- Perform other routine assignments such as replacing lamps, checking emergency light systems, fire alarm equipment, etc.
- Assist Senior Electrician or Electrician “A” in repairing and maintaining plant electrical equipment.
- May be required to perform minor Mechanical Maintenance functions when necessary.
- Must properly complete and abide to all safety procedures and training classes provided as standard to all Maintenance colleagues within the department.
- Maintain all assigned work areas in as clean, orderly and safe condition as circumstances allow.
Other Skills/Abilities
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair all routine electrical failures or malfunctions and acquire some knowledge of electronic and programmable controller equipment
- Requires a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a Manufacturing Environment in an electrician role;
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution;
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates residing within a 50 miles radius of Dover NJ will only be considered.
- Possess some knowledge of electrical code requirements;
- Familiar with function of all power transformers, distribution panels, feeders, subfeeders and all plant utilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including night and weekends with little advanced notice.
- Requires lifting/carrying of up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis (up to 33% of an 8-hour day) from waist to knuckle level.
- Requires lifting of up to 70 lbs. on an occasional basis (up to 33% of an 8-hour day) from floor to waist height.
- Any weights over 70 lbs. require the use of assistive devices and/second person assist.
- This job requires the use of a face piece to face respirator and therefore, you must be clean shaven in the areas where the face piece meets the face
- Equipment used: Volt/ Amp / Ohm meter, Small Hand Tools, Megger, Conduit Bender, Computers.
