Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Supervise all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Oversee inventory management, including procurement of raw materials and optimization of stock levels.
- Implement and refine production procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
- Lead and motivate a team of production staff, including supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel.
- Provide guidance and support to employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
- Establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process to uphold product standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance personnel to address issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Provide safety training to employees and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Develop and manage the factory budget, including forecasting expenses and monitoring spending.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to optimize resource utilization.
- Analyze production data and financial reports to identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand customer requirements and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns, striving to exceed expectations and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Seek feedback from customers to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance product quality and service.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and implementing best practices.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement process enhancements, cost-saving initiatives, and quality improvements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to remain competitive in the market.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- 7 years in a manufacturing environment; experience in automotive, aerospace, or marine preferred
- 3 years of leadership experience
- Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles and programs
- Proven experience in manufacturing management, with a track record of success in optimizing production processes and driving operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost analysis, and performance metrics tracking.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly in areas such as quality control and occupational health and safety.
- Exposure to P&L statements, preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing technologies and software systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), preferred.
