Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Electrician B to join our Howmet Alloy located in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this 2nd shift position are Monday to Friday 2PM-10:30PM

Starting Hourly Rate: $31.43 Rate After 12 Months: $33.79

Position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift.

$2500 Sign on Bonus payable after 90 days of employment (Sign on Bonus for external candidates only)

JOB SUMMARY
This position provides electrical support to the plant and takes preventative measures to maintain functioning electrical systems

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet's EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
* Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Install electrical equipment including conduit, controls and all necessary wiring as directed;
* Proficient in P.M. of most electrical equipment in the plant.
* Perform other routine assignments such as replacing lamps, checking emergency light systems, fire alarm equipment, etc.
* Assist Senior Electrician or Electrician "A" in repairing and maintaining plant electrical equipment.
* May be required to perform minor Mechanical Maintenance functions when necessary.
* Must properly complete and abide to all safety procedures and training classes provided as standard to all Maintenance colleagues within the department.
* Maintain all assigned work areas in as clean, orderly and safe condition as circumstances allow.

* Must be able to troubleshoot and repair all routine electrical failures or malfunctions and acquire some knowledge of electronic and programmable controller equipment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Requires a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a Manufacturing Environment in an electrician role;
* This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. * High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution;
* No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates residing within a 50 miles radius of Dover NJ will only be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Possess some knowledge of electrical code requirements;
* Familiar with function of all power transformers, distribution panels, feeders, subfeeders and all plant utilities.
* Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
* Must be able to work flexible hours including night and weekends with little advanced notice.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED

* Requires lifting/carrying of up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis (up to 33% of an 8-hour day) from waist to knuckle level.
* Requires lifting of up to 70 lbs. on an occasional basis (up to 33% of an 8-hour day) from floor to waist height.
* Any weights over 70 lbs. require the use of assistive devices and/second person assist.
* This job requires the use of a face piece to face respirator and therefore, you must be clean shaven in the areas where the face piece meets the face
* Equipment used: Volt/ Amp / Ohm meter, Small Hand Tools, Megger, Conduit Bender, Computers.
