WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?
As a Youth Care Worker, you play a vital role in our mission. Guided by your supervisor, you create daily therapeutic activities that nurture independence. As a mentor, you impart valuable life, social, and coping skills. You also organize educational and recreational activities for learning and fun.
You apply your training in our CARE practice model and the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) system to maintain a safe, positive, and therapeutic atmosphere. You get to know each individual's trauma history and triggers, and learn how to predict and manage crises using de-escalation techniques. Above all, you prioritize residents' safety, both physically and emotionally, while ensuring accurate documentation. Every day brings new excitement and challenges, making your work deeply meaningful and rewarding!
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
The knowledge and skills required for the position are:
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability and willingness to learn the CARE practice model and TCI system as well as apply their principles
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • A desire to be a youth mentor
A bachelor's degree in human services and related experience is preferred but not required.
