Compliance Manager Role
As New York’s largest licensed processor in the highly cannabis-regulated sector, the role of compliance is imperative to HPI’s continued success. The New York Office of Cannabis Management has developed robust regulatory and compliance standards, including the forthcoming implementation of a track-and-trace system for all cannabis throughout its lifecycle. Adherence to all regulation and compliance mandates across each business unit is the only way to ensure HPI’s survival and growth in the industry.
HPI utilizes Distru, an organization-wide ERP system, to track inventory and manage all data in each department: Cultivation, Purchasing, Extraction, Manufacturing, Sales and Distribution. The Compliance Manager’s role is to engage deeply with this system and each departmental manager to guarantee full compliance. Additionally, the Compliance Manager will develop and implement internal processes for risk management by way of internal audits as well as fulfill mandatory reporting both internal and external.
