HR Department Tin Building is Hiring a Beverage General Manager Near New York, NY

Our partners' creative energy, combined with our extensive hospitality knowledge, ensures a notable encounter for each of our guests. SUMMARYThe Beverage General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of beverage operations and ensuring the success and profitability of the beverage program including but not limited to maintaining superior quality standards, operational excellence, training, compliance with health, safety, and sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. This role will work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless operation of beverage service and will play a key role in ensuring that the guest experience consistently exceeds expectations. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES· Lead the beverage program for all outlets seaport-wide and oversee operations of the liquor commissary· Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.· Ensure a high standard of guest service is consistently delivered· Create, maintain, and adjust inventory pars for wine, beer, liquor, non-alcoholic drinks, cocktail ingredients, as well as tools, supplies and glassware for the beverage program.· Lead, oversee and fulfill purchasing wine, beer, liquor, non-alcoholic drinks, cocktail ingredients, as well as tools, supplies and glassware for the beverage program in accordance with the business needs.· Oversee and manage a bar prep team and supervise daily production of beverages and ingredients.· Oversee and manage bar attendants and oversee fulfilment of beverage orders from the restaurants.· Develop, implement, maintain, and adjust departmental standards for the efficient and profitable liquor commissary operations.· Ensure that all standards are upheld in the day to day activity of liquor room and personnel including but not limited to scheduling, recruiting and training, performance anddevelopment, adherence to company policies and practices, and assigning/ delegating tasks to ensure efficient workflow· Lead the creation of seasonal wine, cocktail, and beer menus with the Director of Beverage.· Supervise implementation of all beverage and production changes properly with necessary communication as well as education in mind.· Ensure that all POS systems, inventory systems, beverage lists, and any other information related to the selling of beverage are understood by the team and remain accurate and up to date· Maintain current knowledge OSHA and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) regulations· Educate management team members on inventory management, waste reduction, bar operations, and beverage service standards.· Educate service teams on wines, spirits, beers, non-alcoholic beverages, their production methods, and ingredients.· Educate service team on all aspects of beverage service and alcohol laws· Ideate, develop, and lead execution of wine- and beverage-centric public and private events· Work within the determined creative vision and focus of each business.· Support recruitment and training of sommeliers and specialty beverage roles as needed· Provide ongoing coaching, staff development, and manage employee performance.· Promote updated knowledge of company policies and procedures.· Ensure that company policies and procedures, safety and other laws, regulations, and requirements are implemented and followed.· Operate ethically to protect the image of the company.· Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS· Minimum of 5 years of beverage management experience required, with advanced understanding of bar operations, mixology, and wine service· Minimum of 3 years of alcohol purchasing experience required.· Minimum of 1 year of multi-unit restaurant management required.· Prior bartending experience required· Wine certification (CMS, WSET, etc.) is strongly preferred.· Proficient in inventory management and cost control· A professional and polished approach to leadership with a passion for hospitality· A warm and gracious outlook, the ability to create stellar guest experiences.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an everchanging, fast-paced environment· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.· Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage strict timelines· Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS · Ability to lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds on a regular basis. · Ability to stand for prolong periods of time. · Ability to move on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb steps regularly, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. COMPENSATIONThe base pay range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 annually.
