HR Recruiting Firm is Hiring a Human Resources Director Near Boulder, CO

We are posting this position on behalf of one of our clients. This position is required to be on-site in Boulder, CO. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.

We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented HR leader to spearhead organizational initiatives and cultivate a high-performance culture. In this role, you will collaborate with the business in multiple countries, gaining insights into the employee base to ensure programs and processes align with our values. You will drive the HR strategy, playing a key role in evolving our HR team by coaching, leading, and fostering critical thinking. The ideal candidate will act as an employee champion and a leader of change. You will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the HR function and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, training and leadership development.
  • Function as a strategic, human capital business advisor to the senior management team
  • Develop initiatives, policies and programs to complement existing practices and create consistency across the organization.
  • Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to retain top talent.
  • Establish credibility with leaders and employees by understanding the organization’s growth strategy and challenges, aligning short and long-term people goals with business objectives, and leading initiatives accordingly.
  • Collaborate with and influence leaders to prioritize strategic people initiatives that accelerate business priorities, focusing on talent management, diversity and inclusion, rewards and recognition, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead seamless organizational transitions using best practice change management methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in overall performance and talent management within the organization.
  • Oversee and resolve complex employee relations issues, working closely with leadership and employees to enhance work relationships, build engagement, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, including coaching, counseling, career development, succession planning, and corrective action, to leadership.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of employment law requirements to mitigate legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance, providing guidance and interpretation of HR policy.
  • Identify development and coaching needs for managers.
  • Collaborate with compensation professionals to apply salary structures.
  • Develop recruitment plans, interview schedules, and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • HR certification considered a plus.
  • 10 years of experience in Human Resources Management; 3-5 years in a leadership position
  • Thorough knowledge of labor relations practices and legal requirements
  • Experience with the employee life cycle and managing adverse situations.
  • Proficient in Federal and California employment law.
  • Knowledge of other states’ employment law is a plus.
  • Proficient with HRIS, benefits portals, and Microsoft products.
  • Excellent leadership, training, and developmental skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of labor relations practices and legal requirements.
