We are posting this position on behalf of one of our clients. We are a retained search firm specializing in placing HR candidates.
This role will be leading Human Resources at a manufacturing site location. This position is onsite 5 days a week in Hammond, WI. Relocation support is available if required.
Job Description / Responsibilities
• As a key member of the site's leadership team, drive initiatives and procedures that cultivate a culture of safety, respect, and productivity.
• Ensure the accuracy and security of the HR system for analyzing, collecting, and managing personnel records and activities, meeting management's information needs while complying with state and federal laws.
• Manage the recruitment, evaluation, selection, and onboarding of new talent based on business/plant needs.
• Educate employees on company policies and procedures, enabling them to develop job-specific skills, creating a competent workforce that achieves objectives, and continually enhancing competencies. Provide coaching to managers for employee development plans.
• Analyze, recommend, and implement controls for compensation programs, salaries, and employee benefits.
• Provide guidance on state and federal regulations; conduct thorough investigations into inquiries, incidents, or charges against the operation; negotiate and recommend settlements when appropriate.
• Offer counsel to managers and supervisors for effective human resource management.
• Develop objectives, strategies, plans, policies, and programs for the HR department.
• Collaborate with regional and global HR colleagues, sharing information on HR topics, employee relations, and best practices.
