HRC FIRE,LLC is Hiring a HRC FIRE, inc Relief Assistant Manager- Columbia Air Attack Base Near Columbia, CA

HRC FIRE, INC. HRC-ATB Columbia is currently seeking a Relief Assistant Base Manager for the 2024 fire season. We're located at the Columbia CAL FIRE Air Attack Base. Our primary Mission is to provide Fire retardant, to support Ground operations during wildland fires.

POSITION SCOPE: Relief Assistant Manager will work under the direct supervision of the Base and Assistant Managers. Relief Manager will comply with all Federal and State contract requirements pertaining to the supply of PHOS-CHEK products, equipment and services as stipulated therein. All company related business will be conducted in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. The Relief Manager will be in full compliance with Perimeter Solutions Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies, as well as all Federal (OSHA) and State environmental regulations pertaining to the US Forest Service (USFS) and CALFIRE Retardant Contract Requirements. This position will assist in the supervision, training, and provide technical support as directed by the Base and/or Assistant Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Relief Manager will help oversee HRC tanker base personnel to ensure proper execution of USFS & CALFIRE Retardant Contracts.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Position requires travel and/or errands for equipment repair at assigned base or surrounding locations. A valid drivers license is required.
  • Assist with all Full-Service Base Procedures: Routine repair and maintenance for all equipment and Winterization maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor and assist in the loading/unloading of retardant/water into aircraft and ground vehicles.
  • Oversee the mixing, storing, inspecting, testing, and delivery of all fire retardants through Perimeter Solutions liquid and powder mix systems when Base Manager is not available.
  • Ensure all base operations are compliant with OSHA & CALOSHA requirements, and any additional Agency specific regulations.
  • Verify that the base is compliant with “Employee Right to Know” requirements and all Hazardous materials are contained and labeled in appropriate storage containers per Perimeter Solutions and OSHA EHS guidelines

. • Assist and oversee base personnel with onboarding, online training and ensure all employees have completed “On the job training” (OJT) specific to their base.

  • Help monitor and review base budgets (Personnel Hours/Materials/Consumables) through Quickbase and Concur Management System.
  • Document any needed base repairs, maintenance, and upgrades on the base needs list and also report to Base Manager and/or Regional Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s contract, policies, training and applicable laws.
  • Assist Base Manager and Assistant Manager with direction, coordination, and evaluation of retardant base activity and operation.
  • Relief Manager must work in conjunction with the Base and Assistant Managers to guarantee proper base standby coverage for the base they are managing.
  • Daily, management must take into consideration the fire conditions of the day, the availability of aircraft and contract load pit staffing requirements for proper staffing levels.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma / GED / College Degree

Minimum of 1 years Contractor or Federal Tanker Base Management

Federal / State / Contractor Fire Service

Minimum of 1 years Mixing: Liquid Concentrate & Powder Retardant Products

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

English (Spoken and written, clear and concise per Federal and State Fire Safety Regulations)

Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in a professional manner.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficient Computer Skills

  • Email: Read, Respond, Scan, Attach send/receive data
