Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our accounts payable department while spearheading process improvements. Your keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently will be essential. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and providing essential reporting information.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day operations of the A/P department, including supervision of staff, processing A/P when necessary, managing workflows, and resolving issues.
• Monitor the open invoice report to ensure timely coding and payment of invoices.
• Address internal and external inquiries promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement and Warehouse, to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors, ensuring proper setup of tax and banking information.
• Prepare annual Form 1099s in compliance with Federal guidelines.
• Close A/P at month-end and complete account reconciliations promptly.
• Oversee vendor account reconciliations and address any discrepancies.
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare necessary information for the annual audit.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• 5 years of accounts payable experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including 3-way matching.
• Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion or similar ERP software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
