What are the responsibilities and job description for the College Admissions Counselor position at HS2 Academy?
We are looking for part-time and full-time college admissions counselors for our Fremont and/or Cupertino locations.
As a college admissions counselor, you will guide high school students through their academic and extracurricular work and ultimately, the college application process. Each counselor receives a caseload of students and meets with them periodically to offer advice regarding major/college choice, coursework, college selection, and all related areas that compose a successful high school career. We offer each student a highly individualized experience.
The position involves helping students navigate and fill out the Common Application and UC Application, and helps students develop ideas for their college essays.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of B.A./B.S. from a top university.
2. Graduate degree(s) preferred although not required.
3. Prior educational or admissions experience preferred.
4. Reliable transportation.

2. Working hours: Part-time employees are expected to work 20-30 hours per week
3. Work hours depend upon number of students on caseload.
4. Counselors must be able to work at least 2 Saturdays per month.
